About Me

My photo
I have been teaching for 10 years, all of them in special education. I started as a consultant teacher at 7th grade, and then moved to a self-contained classroom for 4 years. I am now back at the upper levels as a consultant teacher and am looking forward to a new adventure at this grade level.

New Classroom. Day 4 & 5

I had to pick up my laptop yesterday, so I took Sophia to the sitter for the whole day and planned to work in my room for most of it. I started majorly yawning after about, an hour and a half! I think I got a lot done, and today I went in with Sophia to get my bulletin boards done. (Armed with her pack and play, snacks, and lots of toys.)

Here are some photos from yesterdays adventures.
My lovely clipboards.

Color words in the back of the room.
Number words (which all fell this morning!)

Word wall.
writing supplies table

Clip chart and Star behavior wall of fame. I will put students names there when they reach the top of the chart, along with adding a glitter sticker to their clip.
word work area. Pocket charts and me have never really been the best of friends. I've always had trouble finding ways to use them. I figure the kids can do sorting activities with it. I also decided to turn the white board behind it into my anchor chart board.

Ok since blogger is not doing what I would like it to with pictures, I will add pictures in another post. We'll call it round 2!
